What this site is
AI Agent Skills is an independent, community-oriented directory for discovering open-source AI agent skills — reusable capability packages that extend coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex CLI, and similar tools.
We are not affiliated with Anthropic or OpenAI. Skills are published by their maintainers (usually on GitHub); we index, categorize, and present them for discovery.
How skills enter the directory
- Skills are sourced from public repositories and skill indexes.
- Automated quality and safety checks run before a skill is marked released.
- Released skills appear on the homepage, category pages, search, and sitemap.
- Maintainers keep ownership of the upstream source; install commands and docs always point back to the repository when available.

Editorial standards
- Prefer clear, installable skills with readable READMEs and recent activity.
- Do not treat GitHub stars alone as a quality or security guarantee.
- Users should review permissions, scripts, and network access before installing any skill.
- Blog guides explain concepts (skills vs MCP, install steps) and cite primary sources where possible — for example Anthropic’s Extend Claude with skills documentation.
